Dr. Mitchell Bell

Mitch Bell

Dr. Mitchell Bell is originally from Cobourg, Ontario.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo in 2007 where he majored in Biomedical Science.  In 2012, he earned a Bachelor of Vision Science degree and Doctorate of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

During his optometric training, Dr. Bell completed clinical externships at Aker Kasten Eye Center in Boca Raton, Florida and provided specialty contact lens therapy and sports vision therapy to University of Miami and Florida International University athletes in Miami, Florida.

Dr. Bell was distinguished with the Essilor Digital Corneal Reflection Pupillometer Award (2012) for excellence in dispensing ophthalmic materials, Pioneer Instruments Primary Care Award (2012) for excellence in primary care performance, and the Luxottica Excellence in Pediatric Optometry Award (2012)for excellence in clinical pediatric care and vision therapy.

Dr. Bell practices the full-scope of optometry, including the fitting of glasses and contact lenses, in addition to the treatment of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eyes, diabetic care, and a variety of eye infections. His personal interests include playing the guitar, fishing and photography.  He is excited to be home serving his community!
